Embassy Suites Hotels says aloha to Waikiki Beach WalkT

Memphis, Tenn. (December 19, 2006) - Embassy Suites Hotels® and Outrigger Enterprises Group(r) today announced the opening of the Embassy Suites -Waikiki Beach WalkT. The hotel is a part of the Waikiki Beach WalkT retail and entertainment complex, located in the heart of Waikiki, on the island of Oahu.

Embassy Suites -Waikiki Beach Walk is owned by Outrigger Enterprises Group and is Hawaii's only all-suite, upscale hotel. The 22-story, two-tower hotel is connected by a vast Grand Lanai with a true Hawaiian 'sense of place.' The hotel offers true Hawaiian hospitality in a modern, upscale setting. This new hotel caters to families looking for Hawaiian adventure, couples looking to share a romantic, Hawaiian sunset and friends looking for delicious meals, unique shopping and plenty of fun.

This extraordinary hotel experience will begin at the porte-cochere with valet parking services. Guests will walk through a large, open, entrance-hall where they will be welcomed with a complimentary, Hawaiian beverage.* After taking in the moment and feeling relaxation begin to wash over them, guests will proceed to a casual check-in pod where an Embassy Suites representative will provide information on the hotel and direct them to the activities desk where the activities concierge can discuss the activities and many options available through the hotel. Luggage will be whisked to one of the spacious one-bedroom or two-bedroom suites with separate living area, two flat screen televisions, deluxe bedding, complimentary high-speed Internet access and spectacular views. Once in their suite, guests will receive a personal welcome call from hotel management and receive a complimentary CD compilation of contemporary Hawaiian music. They will also notice the Hawaiian story card placed on the pillow - each day a different one - to inform and educate guests about Hawaii's unique heritage.

On the Grand Lanai, guests can take pleasure in the large swimming pool - equipped with a flowing waterfall -, which at night changes colors on an hourly basis. Adjacent to the swimming pool is a roomy sundeck spotted with an abundance of comfortable chaise lounges allowing guests to relax, unwind and enjoy the warm, fresh Hawaiian air. At night, the sundeck transforms into a lively meeting place with a pool bar and nightly entertainment. Each evening, the hotel hosts a two-hour nightly Manager's Reception* with complimentary beverages and snacks for all guests. Steps away from the hotel, guests can surf, swim or simply enjoy the beautiful waters of Waikiki Beach.
As with all Embassy Suites Hotels, guests can enjoy a daily, complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast. To honor a 'sense of place,' Embassy Suites- Waikiki Beach Walk offers local fruits and local island favorites such as Portuguese sausage, ham and rice along with the standard Embassy Suites breakfast offerings. Guests can also have a bite to eat at one of the wonderful restaurants located on the brand new $535 million Waikiki Beach Walk surrounding the hotel, including Roy's® Waikiki, Yard House, Ruth's Chris® Steak House, and Holokai Grill.

When they depart, guests are given a fitting aloha during the daily departure ceremony at checkout time on the Grand Lanai. The hotel staff sings a farewell song, and gives each guest shell lei to bid them a warm good-bye before they leave for the airport.

Room rates for the Embassy Suites - Waikiki Beach WalkT start at $399 for a one-bedroom suite, and $549 for a two-bedroom suite. A special introductory rate starting at $249 for a one-bedroom suite and $399 for a two-bedroom suite is being offered on a space available basis for a limited time only.
